Here is a great place for a winter retreat, Leavenworth, Washington. Snow is usually several feet deep, great for snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, sleigh riding. There are many chalets you can rent for the weekend. Here is a sign giving directions to a variety of lodges. This is where we went for our sleigh ride and snow shoed. Here is a picture of the old homestead . The man giving the sleigh ride told us all about the history to this ranch. Lots of wildlife including deer, bear and cougars.
For a fun packed four day weekend, this can't be beat!
