Yao's/Joseph's Long Day

Tao the Great Luminant page 88 "Coming to the times of Yao, ten suns once appeared together, scorching the crops, killing trees and plants, so that the people had nothing to eat. Ferocious dragon like beasts, baboons with long teeth, monsters of the deep, gorillas or bears, great boars and pythons are hurtful to people. So Yao employed I to slay the baboons in the wastes of Ch'ou Hua and killed the monsters on the shore of the evil waters (of the barbarian north); be bound the evil beast that creates hurricanes in the marshes of Ch'ing Chiu; he shot the ten suns above and destroyed the dragon-like beast below; he cut down the python in T'ung Ting lake and captured the wild boars in the Mulberry forest. The people were delighted and placed Yao on the pedestal of the Son of Heaven (made him emperor, Yao means important like emperor.)."
This may describe the change of weather after the sun moved 180° and earth flowed into a reverse orbit. The drought and resulting fire would force out snakes and wild animals. The sun must move back half a year or up to two years later depending on the length of time the sun stood still. The sun could have dimmed and stood still in the sky for 108 hours or 9 X 12 hours. Time enough to start forest fires. Then the sun likely traveled 180° west when it returned two years later and earth flowed out of the reverse orbit. Then the sun would brighten seven times and the day be only about 2 hours. Then to leave the same daily coral line in the sun's brief travel through the sky the sun's intensity must have been increased sevenfold.
Isaiah 30:26 "Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound."
Thus the scorching heat. Likewise the tale of Phaethon describes intense heat. And likewise the tale by the Bella Coola Indians of British Columbia: He had come to visit his father the Sun and desired to carry the Sun's torches in his stead. To light them slowly increasing in number to noon, then to put them out little by little. The next morning, "Phaethon" climbed the path of the sun and not only kindled all the torches he had, he did so much too early, so that the earth became red hot: the woods began to burn.." That is, perhaps the sun both traveled west much too quickly and became much too hot.

"...it is reported, that in the time of their seventh emperor, Yao, the sun did not set for ten days, and that men were afraid the earth would be burnt.."Gill 1810, Hubner 1733. However, this ancient text no longer exists. "Yao" Universal Lexicon(1732-1754) Volume LX. Also Kurze Fragen aus der politischen Historie(1729) by J. Hubner

TRANSLATION AND COMMENTARY OF THE CH'U SILK MANUSCRIPT found in 1934, from 500 BC: Text A: Yao assigns Kung Kung to manage the Ho? "After one thousand and one hundred years, the Sun and the Moon .... born" 1119 years between Yao's long day, 2357 BC, and Joshua's long day, about 1238 BC. Many irregularities of the sun and moon follow in Text B: "the sun, the moon thence will gain and retreat, and will not obtain its .... . Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter .... (= not?) have .... (= their?) regularity." In a reverse orbit the stars marking spring and fall are reversed. "the [process of] gaining and retreating .... (= becomes muddled?)" The zodiac retreats in a reverse orbit. "Sun and the Moon have already become confused" Both the sun and moon must move 180°. "The [movements of the] Sun and the Moon .... (= verb?) in confusion, the Stars and the Constellations will not be in harmony." In a reverse orbit the stars rise later each evening instead of earlier but the moon would rise later each evening as usual. "the seasonal rainfall will come and go, and there will be no regularity" a change in weather patterns in a reverse orbit would be expected. "Respectful (= humble?) people not yet aware [of this], .... will regard [it] as thence (= as a norm). Do not move (= disturb?) the multitudes of the people" People are the same today.

Was Yao's Long Day 12 hours longer accomplished by the sun moving 180° east and appearing to stand still in the sky? "he shot the ten suns above and destroyed the dragon-like beast below" The dragon-like beast could be the moon which must move 180° also to stay in the same lunar phase. The dragon, the moon, often ate the sun in an eclipse. The Chinese symbol for moon, or darkness, was Yin, - female, princess. The chinese symbol for sun was Yang, male. The moon's hidden side must shine, either from sun shine or earth shine, on earth till the moon rotated 180°. Perhaps the toad look of princess Chang E in the moon was the moon's hidden side lighted by the sun shining on earth. The far side of the moon is rough and battered like the bumps on a toad. There would be this empty moon disc on the new moon this March 31 2357 BC and this toad look visible in the full moon perhaps the night after the sun moved again in Yao's 7th year possibly October 4 2351 BC inorder to counter the missing 40 minutes of the two and a half years of the reverse orbit of 2357 BC. That is, in a reverse orbit year earth must be sped up 48 hours to keep 365 days to the year because orbit is against rotation. Then if the reverse orbit was for half a year more than a full year we must compute the number of days of that half orbit. From March 31 it would be 187 more days. 187/365 X 48 = 24:40 hours. That is a net loss of 40 missing minutes. Then there must be a second reverse orbit starting about the autumn equinox 178 days. That is, 178/365 X 48 = 23:20. Thus a net of no missing time assuming the sun traveled east enough times 180°. Then when earth flowed out of the second reverse orbit solar eclipse paths on the earth would be exactly as we would predict them to be. The far side of the moon gets just as much sun as the side facing the earth. There may be no way to physically detect these sun miracles. Nevertheless, the Chinese may have seen an angel at the moon that looked like a princess. A Heron depicted on the back of a turtle in this bronze sculpture from the Hunan Provincial Museum means long life because the Phoenix/Heron never dies and the turtle together with the deer/unicorn mean long life. The Chinese writing that goes with it is all about the sun and moon; "Husband and wife love to permanent, Elegant The all and the one." That is the phoenix. "A beautiful woman in white dress in the morning" - could refer to an angel at the sun or moon. The sun may have moved again for a second reverse orbit on the full moon October 4 2351 BC and be both the unicorn in Yao's seventh year and the sun and moon miracle that marked the Chinese Autumn festival and the next seven years of famine in Egypt. The second correcting sun miracle must happen half an orbit or a full orbit or multiples thereof later. Thus the second correcting sun miracle must be about the same day of 60 whether 186 days later or 365 days later because 186 days is 6 days over 60 and 365 days plus leap year is also 6 days over 60. March 31 2357 BC is day 28. October 4 2351 BC is day 8 and March 31 2350 BC is day 5. Also, the lunar phase October 4 2351 BC is the same as the lunar phase March 31 2350 BC, the full moon either date. Thus the sun must have returned on day 6 October 4 2351 BC or day 6 March 31 2357 BC. Earth only ever sees this one side of the moon which is mostly smooth. In this rough cratered image taken by a Russian satellite in the 1960's for the first time, you see the far side of the moon on the right half of this image. On the left you see the smooth dark Sea of Crisis, Border Sea - border of what we can see on earth, and the Sea of fertility. The whole far side of the moon is filled with craters with just the small Moscow Sea and small Sea of Ingenuity, which cannot be seen in these photos:

Moon's far side: Pictures of the Moon

Moon's eastern edge: Two sides of the Moon

This image of the moon shows the rough far side on the left half. In the middle you see the Eastern Sea on the border. The moon always shows the same side to earth because the moon rotates exactly 29.5 days the exact orbit of the moon. Thus earth has never seen the other side of the moon, even in ancient times. Except perhaps during a sun miracle. That is, the other side of the moon never faces the earth, not even on a new moon when the same side as faces the earth on a full moon is lit by earth shine. The Shuswap people may have recorded seeing the far side of the moon on the night of a sun miracle. You can see the rough edges to the far rough side of the moon in my detailed picture. In the Yin Yang the yin is the female the moon and the yang is the male the sun. - The male and female phoenix were the sun bird and the moon bird the sun and moon characters in red inside the Feng bird. Or this could be the sun moving 180° from Taurus to Scorpius, the green dragon, the sun's brightness making the green dragon invisible.) There were 10 suns in the 10 day week. The Chinese symbol for day and sun are the same. When the 10 suns appeared together and would not move Yao shot down the 9 suns leaving the one sun to continue. That is, when the sun would not move Yao employed an archer to shot at the sun nine times. Then he refrained him and the sun moved again. Emperor Kin, 1891 BC, also recorded 10 suns appeared together in the sky. The total amount of missing time from a few years of reverse orbits must be countered by the sun standing still or moving east. That is, a reverse orbit has 48 less hours a year. Now, if the sun stood still 108 hours or 9 X 12 hours for Yao/Joseph then there could be a reverse orbit of two and a half years if the sun also moved 180° east when it returned and earth flowed out of the reverse orbit. Thus Yao's 9 suns may be literally true and yes the day would get hot and burn the grass even if the sun was dimmed. Likewise if the sun traveled west when the sun returned and earth flowed out of the reverse orbit the sun must be several times brighter to leave the same daily coral line.

See Joshua's Long Day.

Joseph's Dreams

Genesis 36:

3 "Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.
4 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.
5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.
6 And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:
7 For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.
8 And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.
9 And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.
10 And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?
11 And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying."

Genesis 43:

26 "And when Joseph came home, they brought him the present which was in their hand into the house, and bowed themselves to him to the earth.
27 And he asked them of their welfare, and said, Is your father well, the old man of whom ye spake? Is he yet alive?
28 And they answered, Thy servant our father is in good health, he is yet alive. And they bowed down their heads, and made obeisance."

We do not know when the second dream was fulfilled:

9 "And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me."
Joseph is central in both the first and second dream. Perhaps earth is central and the sun and planets revolved around the earth the day Joseph was made governor over Egypt at the beginning of harvest. That day Joseph's brethern would see the sun stand still and perhaps wonder at Joseph's dream not knowing he was being made governor over Egypt. The planets must turn around and face the sun at the same inclination as before. More likely the eleven stars refer to eleven of the twelve signs of the zodiac. That the sun had moved 180° from the Pleiades to Virgo, Virgo not visible because the sun was in that "star". Thus, the other eleven stars/zodiac appear to bow to the sun, the zodiac now progressing in reverse. That is, the sons of Jacob would bow to the Son of God, Jesus, with the glory of the Sun.
Matthew 17:1 "And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart.
2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light."
Pharaoh called Joseph first thing in the morning to interpret his dream, whereupon:
Genesis 41:43 "And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt."
Perhaps the morning sun stood still in the sky for Joseph as Pharaoh made him governor and he went out into Egypt. The morning sun in Egypt is an afternoon sun in China. Then perhaps that afternoon the sun stood still in China, the people were in commotion and almost 12 hours later Yao appeared to employ Yi to shoot at the sun. There is a Chinese constellation of a bow aimed at Sirius/Taurus, just where the sun would be in Spring just before the sun moved the 180°, the emperor pulling the string. At exactly 12 hours and at the 9th arrow, Yao refrained Yi and the sun moved, whereupon they made Yao emperor. Yao's previous name was Fang, he was named Son of Heaven that day. This bow aimed at Taurus may have been first named when the sun was in Taurus April 12 3637 BC and perhaps moved 180° the day of Noah's flood. Noah's flood April 12 3637 BC was 10 days before the spring equinox just as Joseph's long day April 1 2357 BC was 10 days before the spring equinox.

Yao's Long day must have been April 1, 2357 BC for the reasons given below.

The Canon of Yaou

Thereupon Yaou commanded the He and Ho, in reverent accordance with their observations on the wide heavens, to calculate and delineate the movements and appearances of the sun, the moon, the stars, and the zodiacal spaces; and so to deliver respectfully the seasons to the people.

He separately commanded the second brother He to reside at Yu-e, in what was called the Bright Valley, and there respectfully to receive as a guest the rising sun, and to adjust and arrange the labours of the spring. "The day," he said, "is of medium length, and the star is in Neau; you may thus exactly determine mid-spring. The people begin to disperse; and the birds and beasts breed and copulate."

He further commanded the third brother He to reside at Nankeaou, and arrange the transformations of the summer, and respectfully to observe the extreme limit of the shadow. "The day," said he, "is at its longest, and the star is Ho; you may thus exactly determine mid-summer. The people are more dispersed; and birds and beasts have their feathers and hair thin, and change their coats."

He separately commanded the second brother Ho to reside at the west, in what was called the Dark Valley, and there respectfully to convoy the setting sun, and to adjust and arrange the completing labours of autumn. "The night," he said, "is of the medium length, and the star is Heu; you may thus exactly determine mid-autumn. The people begin to feel at ease; and birds and beasts have their coats in good condition."

He further commanded the third brother Ho to reside in the northern region, in what was called the Sombre Capital, and there to adjust and examine the changes of the winter. "The day," said he, "is at its shortest, and the star is Maou; thus you may exactly determine mid-winter. The people keep their cosy corners; and the coats of birds and beasts are downy and thick."

The Mao said, "Ah! you, He and Ho, a round year consists of three hundred, sixty, and six days. By means of an intercalanary month do you fix the four seasons, and complete the determination of the year. Thereafter, in exact accordance with this, regulating the various officers, all the works of the year will be fully performed."

James Legge, The Chinese Classics: "But the vernal mansions go to the west and the autumnal ones to the east, reversing the previous directions of these two seasons, and in opposition to the prevailing notion of the Chinese that the spring belongs to the east, etc." The Chinese Classics III p.94 Notes, The Shoo King p.18: "The special object of his observation was to ascertain that mid spring, the vernal equinox, was correctly fixed; and that the final end was that the 'labours of the east' might be adjusted. Those labours of the east are the labours of spring; and in the other parr. the the south stands for summer and the west for autumn and the north for winter." Of course the sun rises in the east, noon is south and west is sunset. Likewise the sun appears to move east through the year against the stars. However, the sun can only be to the east of the zodiac in spring in a reverse orbit. The only explanation is earth in a clockwise, reverse, orbit. "the prevailing notion of the Chinese that the spring belongs to the east" - only in a reverse orbit. There are many possible reverse orbits in the Bible. Also in Egyptian, Babylonian and Chinese records - See Joshua's long day. That the Chinese thought a reverse orbit was normal was only natural. That Yao started with the vernal equinox may have been because Yao's long day was April 1 2357 BC, thus Yao sent He and Ho immediately to determine the new star to mark spring April 11 2357 BC. Some believe this was the first time the solstices and equinoxes were determined. However, more likely earth suddenly in a reverse orbit and earth shift necessitated finding new stars to begin each season. That this was done so soon must mean the Chinese had already determined the solstices and equinoxes.

"ten suns once appeared together, scorching the crops" - Here are some implications: the day may have been long and hot, and the weather currents changed - the seven years of plenty in Egypt means rain on the headwaters of the Nile and which may have taken rain from other areas of earth - and TEXT B "the seasonal rainfall will come and go, there will be no regularity" - irregular weather would be expected in a reverse orbit. If the sun moved 180° near the equinox, earth would not need to turn to keep in the same season. Then earth's orientation to the north would be about the same as before. And the seasons would be unaffected. However, if the sun moved 180° on April 1 2357 BC earth must turn 20° clockwise to keep in the same season. "Thereupon Yaou commanded the He and Ho" perhaps immediately after being made emperor on the long day. Then He and Ho would have 10 days to get to the bright valley and make their observations on the spring equinox.

Horus is spearing the Bull in Ursa Major - his spear lines up with his head, 8000 BC the pole star was in Horus' head near Arcturus. The constellation of Arcturus has been depicted as the torso of a man from very ancient times. A. Pogo suggested this was a horoscope commemorating the appearing of Sirius in the Great Year July 16 2777 BC. Perhaps he believed the figure with the spear was Orion and the bull Taurus. However, the bull is definitely the bull of the north pole, the Big Dipper. If the sun moved 180° in November or May earth's axis must turn up this spear in backward precession to point to an 8000 BC pole star at Horus's head. Perhaps on earlier sun miracles earth had done just that. The cone from the tail of the Bull may represent a small pole shift to the new pole star, the severed leg of the bull. The pole star was imagined to be at the hairy tip of the Bull's tail, the Big Dipper rather than Taurus. Then this may just as well depict the sun moving 180° April 1 2357 BC and a pole shift of 22°. The other two dots on the bull's tail may depict two earlier pole shifts. The moon is in the Friday April 7 2357 BC position with the sun 180° away in Scorpius shining on a first quarter moon. Jesus is believed to have been crucified on the same Sothis date Friday April 7 30 AD, or more likely Friday April 3 33 AD on the same Sothis date as the Sojourn and Exodus. The horoscope may pertain to the first Egyptian religious writings of Pharaoh Unas at the time of Joseph. Probably, though, this catastophe pertains to the end of the Middle Kingdom, 1788 according to the conventional chronology, and the Chinese three suns in 1788 BC. Aquarius is pouring water into Pisces, perhaps Piscis Austrinus, an ancient constellation which appears gulping the water flowing from Aquarius' water jar. SkyNews, Nov/Dec 2003, p.26 That is interpreted as swallowing up the flood waters of the Great Flood, April 12 3637 BC and the drying of the earth by April 12 3636 BC. In a reverse orbit the sun appears to travel from the east to the west against the stars as earth orbits the sun. Sirius would appear first in the west, appearing later each evening instead of appearing first in the east and earlier each evening. In a reverse orbit the stars appear to travel west to east as the year progresses. If the sun moved the planets must also move. You can see Senmut's celestial ceiling here. Mouse over the image, when a box appears on lower right click for the enlargement. There are 12 circles; 6 more to the right, 4 to the left, perhaps feast days on the twelve months of the zodiac. April 1 is 4 months from the Sothis year end July 16. Perhaps the months are grouped for the three Egyptian seasons. The 4 may depict the 4 months of inundation when the Nile flooded after July 16. These 12 months are all 30 day months beginning July 16 and the feast days begin each month. Each circle depicts 12 bisecting lines depicting 12 half circles, the 12 mundane (relating to the world) houses. That is the 12 phases of the sky pertaining to the 12 constellations of the zodiac. However, this zodiac - probably the sequence of the 12 feast days - progresses in reverse. Here you see the sky on March 31 2357 BC:

All the planets are visible March 31 2357 BC, for some reason Mars was omitted from the celestial ceiling of Senmut. Mars rose at 6:40 and the sun at 6:10. Thus Mars was not visible then. Mars set at 6:46PM and the sun at 6:00PM, so Mars would be only briefly visible at sunset. Saturn was on the far side of the sun and must pivot 180° around the earth meaning Saturn must travel 2800 million miles instead of 2700 million miles if earth was closer. "the end of two full years" may refer to the end of the Sothis year, which in 2357 BC had backed up to Saturday, the seventh day of the week, April 1, which was also the time of reaping and Pharaoh's birthday. The third day of the 10 day Egyptian week was March 31 and the third day of the Hebrew week was March 31. Moses three days of darkness may have been just before the Exodus April 4 1279 BC and thus be also on this April 1 date. Thus the Chinese may have seen the sun stand still again in the early morning position while Egypt was kept in darkness. See The Pierce Festivals Calendar - the agricultural and sothis calendar matched at that time. Thus Pharaoh's feast on his birthday celebrating the harvest.
Genesis 40:20a "And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh's birthday,"
This is March 31/April 1, the third day of the Egyptian ten day week. On the Egyptians 12 fixed 30 day months this would be day 13 April 1. This fixed calendar still had to add a leap day every 4 years, so this discrepancy could be this leap day. "full" years is "yome" meaning hot as in the warm hours of the day - as an adverb meaning full. Perhaps there was also a long hot day the day Saturday April 1 2357 BC when the sun stood still when Yao became emperor of China. Two years later the new year had backed up to begin on Sunday April 2 2357 BC, 421/4 days less July 16, perhaps the end of this two full years was April 1 2357 BC. Perhaps then Joseph/Yao's long day was Saturday April 1 2357 BC. The Sojourn into Egypt was from the 430th year, beginning Tuesday, March 31 2348 BC entering Egypt Friday April 3 2348 BC. The new year was Sunday April 2 2357 BC when the first quarter moon should be in Gemini. Perhaps this Senmut's celestial ceiling depicts the sky in the new year just 2 days after the sun moved 180° and the first quarter moon in Aquarius and this first year of abundance identified with the water carrier Aquarius. If the sun moved on April 1 2357 BC we have the stars needed for Yao's Canon depicting a 20° shift in forward precession. "The hieroglyphic triangle which represents Sothis also appears to represent the zodiacal light, and the Egyptians apparently knew both an Isis-Sothis and a Horus-Sothis. The term 'wp rnpt' which refers to the rising of Sothis, also refers to the beginning of the civil year and the birthday of the king." The zodiacal light is best observed just before the vernal equinox, thus April 1. If April 1 was pharaoh's birthday the pharaoh of the Exodus, Mernpetah, would have celebrated his birthday with his family the day before the death angel passed over and killed his first born the night of April 3 1279 BC. The moon must move 180° from Gemini to Capricornus and the sun 180° from Taurus to Scorpius. Then this spear may mark the path of earth shifts at other times. If the sun moved 180° November 18 or May 19, earth's axis must shift in backwards precession to point to this constellation of Arcturus. If the sun moved the 180° April 1 the first quarter moon in new years day April 2 and in the 5 days of new year would be in Aquarius as depicted. "He (Aquarius) is usually protrayed as pouring water from his jar into the mouth of the Southern Fish" perhaps depicting the Nile River. Thus the sun is rather in Scorpius. Perhaps the sun moved 180° from Taurus to Scorpius. The sun was in Taurus April 1 2357 BC when the sun must have moved 180° 11 days before the spring equinox April 11, meaning earth must turn 22° clockwise in 700 years of precession. The Egyptians took particular note of the sign the sun rose in the east with, the ascendant, Pisces. In the Dendera Zodiac, 100 BC, the sun is in Pisces perhaps depicting the sun moving 180° either on the spring or autumn equinox. If the sun moved 180° on April 1, just previous the sun would have been in Taurus that morning and Pisces would rise in the east just before daybreak. Chaucer: "Taurus was my ascendant, with Mars therin." As a coincidence the sun and Mars were in Taurus April 1 2357 BC. The Egyptians named the constellation Pisces, fish, after the abundance of fish in the Nile River 2300 BC. The Nile fish grew large, as long as a person's arm. Perhaps the connection was to the seven years of plenty of Joseph when they were born. Jacob said of Joseph's sons
Genesis 48:16b "and let them grow as fishes do increase in the midst of the earth."
The summer solstice in 2358 BC was July 14. The summer solstice in 2777 BC was July 17. Sirius first appeared before dawn and the people fled to higher ground as the Nile began to flood July 16.

AN HISTORIC BACKGROUND OF RICE ORIGIN concludes with some background information to Yao's Canon: "rock paintings are >20,000 years old" "While the Tang Yao ruler announced it, the second step is finding who defined the four seasons." "The first step is confirming that “X” represents sun-related scenery of time and season." The sun rise in Scorpius April 11 2356 BC marked spring for Yao. 20,000 years ago the sun rose in Scorpius in spring also because of precession. Probably Yao's Canon depicts earth in this reverse orbit of the sun. A like study is a North American pictograph of the sun rising over the eastern mountains:
sunrise
When the sun appeared wedged between two far away hills in the east, this marked spring, rather than sunset in the west. The position of the sun in the mountains at sunrise in spring 20,000 years ago was different because the north pole moved and is moving a few feet a year. However, monuments marking the solstice 5,000 years ago are still accurate today because precession, not the physical north pole but the direction of the axis of the north pole, keeps the sun in sync with the seasons over its 26,000 year cycle. The sun rises in the east perhaps symbolic of the new beginning of spring. However the sun can only be in the east of the zodiac in spring in a reverse orbit. That is, if the sun moved 180° to the east for Yao's long day earth would flow into a reverse orbit of the sun. Then when spring came around the sun would be to the east of the zodiac. That is, in summer the sun would be in Leo at noon and Scorpius would be rising in the east where the sun had just been that spring. "Spring is in the east" must have been Yao's observation of the sun in the east in spring on the anniversary of Joseph/Yao's long day.
Yao's zodiac if the sun moved 180° April 1 2357 BC.

Joseph in Egypt

Yao became emperor of China 2357 BC. Unas is thought to have reigned from 2356 BC to 2323 BC. 900 years later there was a sun miracle when Akhu En Aten became Pharaoh in 1423 BC. (The revised chronology has Unas reign to 2345 BC to the end of the 7 year famine. Teti from 2345 BC to 2323 BC when he was mysteriously murdered and Pepi I from 2323 BC to 2287 BC, possibly Pepi I's death had something to do with the sun miracle in Yao's 70th year when Joseph was 100.) Pharaoh Djedkare reigned just before Unas and may perhaps be this pharaoh:
Genesis 40:20 "And on the third day which was Pharaoh's birthday, he made a feast and lifted up the head of the chief cup bearer and the chief baker among his servants."
As stated above, this third day must have been April 1 2359 BC. Unas wrote of his birth: "The gifts of Unas are in heaven, and he hath become might in the horizon like unto Tmu, the father who gave him birth, and after Tmu gave him birth, Unas became stronger than his father." Birthdays seem to have been in fashion at the time.
Genesis 41:1 "And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river..."
Egypt was flooded from July through October. Then the flood plain was ploughed and sowed. Reaping began in April. Probably Joseph was made governor over Egypt before the end of the Sothis year April 1 2357 BC. Perhaps then Joseph/Yao's long day was April 1 2357 BC.
Genesis 41: b "And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt."
Perhaps this was April and the time of harvest, Joseph saving seed for bread and for sowing.
Perhaps there was a new Pharaoh, Unas, at the end of these two years. Pharaoh is spoken of in the third person:
Genesis 41:13 "And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged."
Perhaps this previous pharaoh was Djedkare meaning "The Soul of Ra (the sun) Endures". Thus Pharaoh Unas may have reigned from 2357 BC as some chronologies depict. Perhaps when the sun stood still for Joseph there was a profound affect on the Egyptians and they bowed to him in reverence. Pharaoh probably was fatherless when he came to the throne. He must have been younger than Joseph who was about 30 in 2357 BC:
Genesis 45:8 "So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt."
Jacob may have blessed Pharaoh with a long reign:
Genesis 47:7 "And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set him before Pharaoh: and Jacob blessed Pharaoh."
Unas had a long reign of 33 years.
See Genesis 41 for the context:
Genesis 41:53 "And the seven years of plenteousness, that was in the land of Egypt, were ended.
54 And the seven years of dearth began to come, according as Joseph had said: and the dearth was in all lands;"

Can Phaethon be connected to an Egyptian drought? "The springs turned into steam; the rivers shrank. It is said that it was then the Nile fled..." Fire and drought were also connected with Yao's Long Day and in Emperor Kwei's Long Night the E and Loh became dry. A drought in China 2357 BC to 2350 BC may have corresponded to the years of plenty in Egypt. The rain has to go somewhere.
"Unas (2381-2345 BC) was the last king of the fifth dynasty. Depictions along his causeway at Saqqara show the effects of famine." This famine very likely was the seven years predicted by Joseph. Then the famine had nothing to do with El Nino. Joseph must have appeared before Pharaoh 2357 BC perhaps April 1, and Unas appears to be this pharaoh.

Was the sojourn of Israel in Egypt from the four hundred and thirtieth year of the Sothis cycle? Friday April 3 2348 BC?

The 365 day calendar "must have been introduced some time early in the 3rd millennium BC" They, like the rest of the world at the time had a 360 day year. Just they added five days in summer when Sirius was first visible before dawn July 16 which became the Great Era. Calculating backwards with Dance of the Planets Astronomy program Sirius rose just before dawn at 4:00 AM, July 16, 2777 BC, Cairo. However, from this reckoning of the Great Era they did not count leap years. So every year was simply 365 days and fell further behind. So that by 2348 BC the new year began Friday, April 3 the 14th day of the the Egyptian lunar month that year. The Egyptian lunar month was counted from the last visibility of the moon March 20 2348 BC, 14 days later was April 3. 2777 BC - 2348 BC = 430 years. 2357 BC perhaps when the years of plenty began and Yao witnessed a long day. In Egypt in 2357 BC the new year would have backed up to Sunday April 1 2350 BC perhaps when the 7 years of famine began and Yao witnessed the unicorn of the sky. The sun must move back from Scorpius to Taurus April 1 perhaps 2350 BC. That is the seven years of plenty may have ended on the seventh day, Saturday March 31 2350. The next day Sunday April 1, the day of the harvest, would begin the seven years famine and no harvest. Then 2348 BC was perhaps when Jacob entered Egypt in the second year of famine. Then these April 3 and March 31 dates are doubly important. 430/4 = 107 days. The calendar had backed up 107 days after 430 years from July 16 2777 BC to March 31 2348 BC. Perhaps the Egyptians also counted 5 days of new year from this March 31. Jacob and his children stepped into a new year literaly when they entered Egypt April 3 2348 BC. The first new moon began the festival of harvest - from April 3. April 3rd was the 14th day of the Egyptian lunar month that year. The Egyptians began their month at the end of the lunar month when the moon was last visible. Thus April 3 2348 BC is the 14 day of the Egyptian lunar month.

Exodus 12:

2 "This month shall be the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you."
40 "Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.
41 And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt."
Jacob entered Egypt April 3 2348 BC, 8 days before the vernal equinox. Noah entered the ark April 12 3637 BC, also 8 days before the vernal equinox. The Great Era marked the beginning of the Sothis Period of 1460 years - July 16 2777 BC, 365/4 = 1460, actually 1457 ending a day early at the first appearing of Sirius in the morning on July 17 1320 BC. That is this 365 day calendar fell back 1 complete year in 1457 years. This because the Sothis year had backed up 365 days in 139 AD going 1460 years backwards is 1320 BC. Going 1457 years forwards from July 16 2777 BC is the first appearing of Sirius before dawn at exactly 4AM July 17 1320 BC. This because Sirius appeared at exactly 4 AM July 16 2777 BC and even July 16 4236 BC, so when Sirius rose a day earlier, rather on July 17 because the Sothis calendar went backwards and came to July 17 before July 16, in 1320 BC at the 4AM the new sothis cycle had to start at that time. Because they simply used a 365 day calendar without a leap year every four years to keep up with the 365.25 days in a year. The Sothis cycle was the point at which the Sothis calendar had backed up all the way to July 16 and Sirius again first appeared before dawn on the new year. Then the calendar matched the positions of the stars - Sirius exactly. However there still was the precession of the equinoxes. Precession is 1.4° per century. Spring then backed up one day every 128 years on the Julian and Sothis calendar. In 3637 BC spring was April 21 and in 1238 BC spring was April 2. The Hebrew word/letter Bet is thought to originally mean from instead of for. Thirty can also mean thirtieth. Then "was four hundred and thirty years." may have been intended to mean "from the four hundred and thirtieth year." perhaps of this Great Era July 16/17 2777 BC:

Galatians 3:17 "This I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after.." Literally: "This now I say, [the] covenant confirmed beforehand by God to Christ, ||the after years four hundred and thirty||" Is a quotation and not an interpretation of the sojourn in Egypt being four hundred and thirty years. The figures here suggest the period of the Sojourn in Egypt was 1069 years. After that the law. The beginning of months meant spring was to mark the beginning of the year, as it did in most of the ancient world. The Exodus April 4 1279 BC was on the vernal equinox marking the beginning of spring. Moreover, the Exodus began at sunrise on the vernal equinox Friday morning April 4 1279 BC. Yao began his Canon with the vernal equinox also, then April 11 2357 BC, because Joseph's long day was just days previous April 1 2357 BC and necessitated new stars to mark the seasons.

May "the end of the four hundred and thirty years," refer to the Exodus in April 4 1279 BC?
Acts 7:23 "And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel."
Perhaps Moses thought the new Sothis cycle starting July 17 1320 BC was a sign it was time to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt. Stephen in Acts said Moses was a full 40 years old. Moses was 40 in 1319 BC. Herodotus wrote that no reversal of sunrise or sunset occurs in a Sothis period, perhaps because of sun miracles at the end of the Sothis cycles, 4236 BC, 2777 BC, and 1320 BC.
Acts 7:30 "And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him (Moses) in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush."
Exodus 12:6a "And ye shall keep it up to the 14th day of the same month.."
Egypt counted the begining of the lunar month with the moon's last visibility at sunrise, March 21 1279 BC. Counting 14 days from the moon's last visibility at sunrise is April 4 1279 BC, a Friday. That is, Thursday night at evening was counted Friday, the evening and the morning were the first day Genesis 1:5, and they left Egypt early Friday morning in haste after the passover.
Exodus 12:22 "And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning."
That Friday morning was 15 days after the Egyptian lunar month beginning at 6AM March 21 1279 BC. However the passover ended by 6 AM so was kept on the 14th day just as described in Exodus. Counting back from the appearing of Sirius July 16 to this April 3 2348 BC is 104 days, the number of days counting back from the appearing of Sirius in 1279 BC July 17 to April 4 is 104 days. To the Egyptians this is the same Sothis date. Pharaoh's birthday was April 1, the 14th day of the ninth 30 day Egyptian month, meaning Pharaoh's house hold would have gathered then and thus Pharaoh's anguish when his first born died the night of the Passover the 14th day of the lunar month. April 3 2348 BC was 7 days before the vernal equinox April 10 2348 BC and April 4 1279 BC was 2 days after the vernal equinox April 2 1279 BC. The Gregorian calendar has leap year every 4 years except when the year is divisible by 100 except when the year is divisible by 400. However, we are using the Julian calendar here which is the same as the Sothis which has leap year every four years. The Sothis calendar effectively has leap year every four years also. Then the Gregorian calendar has 9 less leap years as the Egyptian over the same period 2348 BC - 1279 BC. 365242 days in 1000 years, 365250 days if there is a leap year every four years. The Gregorian calendar matches the 365.2422 day year we use today. 4000 years ago there would be 8 more days, 365250 - 365242 = 8 days, in the Gregorian calendar over 1000 years than there would be in the Sothis calendar. Thus the Julian/Sothis Calendar equinox falls behind one day every 128 years. The first appearing of the star Sirius July 16 was not affected by precession in those years. Earth was gradually shifting but Sirius continued to first appear at 4AM July 16. Precession of the equinoxes means stars shift 1.4° clockwise every 100 years. The Egyptians noted that the first appearing of Sirius before dawn coincided with their 365.25 calendar to appear again on the 365th day 1460 years later. Earth's rotation is gradually slowing. We added 23 seconds in the last 33 years and this slowing has been over the millenia. "The speed of the Earth's rotation is continually changing, mostly due to friction caused by tides raised by the Sun and Moon. Weather patterns and geological disturbances also affect the rate of rotation." - This makes it hard to identify eclipses thousands of years ago to within an hour. Joseph died at 110 in 2277 BC. 1000 years later was the Exodus on the spring equinox in 1279 BC. The Julian/Sothis calendar had fallen behind 1 day every 128 years from the tropical calendar. Nevertheless, this was the same 14th day of the lunar month and the same day of the week - Friday, the "selfsame day" that Jacob entered Egypt. See Julian Date Converter for the day of the week. See Our seven-day week "Unlike most people who used a lunar calendar, the Egyptians began their day with sunrise instead of sunset because they began their month, and consequently their day, by the disappearance of the old Moon just before dawn." Likewise the Egyptians began their Sothis period at the appearing of Sirius just before dawn. Later the Israelites began their day at sunset and began their month on the first appearing of the new moon.
Psalm 81:3 "Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day."
The Septuagint Exodus 12:40 "Now the sojourning of the children of Israel and of their fathers, which they sojourned in the land of Canaan AND in the land of Egypt was from the 430 (Sothis) year."
(Both the Dead Sea Scroll 4QExodc and the Masoretic Text give only Egypt. Both the Septuagint and the Samaritan Pentateuch give both Egypt and Canaan.)
Perhaps Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in Canaan are included in the 430 year period from 2777 BC to 2348 BC. Abraham left Haran for Canaan 2572 BC. Perhaps there were some Israelites already in the land that Barak and Debra led with Joshua to defeat Jabin and Sisera in Judges 4 and 5. See the Book of Jasher

The day of the week the Israelites gathered manna may have been the 1st day, Sunday:
Exodus 16: 1 "And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt."
Counting from the last visibility of the moon April 19, the 15th day is Saturday May 3 1279 BC, and the next day the manna appeared:
Exodus 16:12 "I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God.
13 And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host.
14 And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground."
Then counting from the first visibility of the moon:
Exodus 40:17 "And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was reared up."
This must be Sunday March 15 1278 BC. The Israelites must have changed their lunar calendar back this day according to Genesis 1 now they were no longer in Egypt.

Noah's Flood may have been April 12 3637 BC. See Flood Genesis 8:14 "In the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried."
Lunar cycles matching the Sothis new year February 16 3636 BC mean the first lunar month began February 16 the second March 15 and earth was dried 27 days later, Sunday - the first day of the week, April 12 3636 BC exactly one year after the flood. The vernal equinox 3636 BC was April 21. Then April 12 3637 BC is the March 12 2003 season today. Up until the building of the Aswan Dam, March was the season of the low Nile, hardly a time for rain.
I Corinthians 10:2 "And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea."
I Peter 3:21b "The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us"

Genesis 5:30 "And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters"
If Lamech lived to the Sothis year 595, 3642 BC, he might have died just before the flood.
Noah named his eldest son Shem. Shem is from an unused root "shameh" meaning to be lofty - Strongs 8064, like shemesh - sun. Perhaps Shem was named after sun miracles even in Noah's day.

The 365 day Sothis year may have been intended in calculating Bible dates:
Genesis 5:23 "And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years."
Perhaps 4236 - 3872 BC. 365 years are a tetracycle, a quarter Sothis cycle. In year 365 the Sothis year began April 16 and the spring equinox was April 22. Perhaps we may attempt a genealogy, Genesis 5:21-32 :
3936 BCYear 300Perhaps when Enoch was born
3892 BCYear 345Perhaps 20 years before God took Enoch Methuselah was born
3872 BCYear 365Perhaps God took Enoch in the Sothis year 365
3823 BCYear 413Perhaps Methuselah was 68 when Lamech was born
3737 BCYear 500Perhaps Lamech was 87 when Shem was born to Noah
3705 BCYear 532Perhaps Methuselah was 187 when he died
3642 BCYear 595Perhaps Lamech was 182 when he died
3637 BCYear 600Perhaps Noah was 100+ at the time of the flood

Perhaps Noah's children settled along the banks of the Euphrates River with the Sumerian people in 3500 BC, eventually settling in Ur from which Terah left with Abraham.
We can continue the geneology and chronology from Genesis 11:
10 These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood:
11 And Shem lived after he begat Arphaxad five hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.
12 And Arphaxad lived five and thirty years, and begat Salah:
13 And Arphaxad lived after he begat Salah four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.
14 And Salah lived thirty years, and begat Eber:
15 And Salah lived after he begat Eber four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.
16 And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Peleg:
17 And Eber lived after he begat Peleg four hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters.
18 And Peleg lived thirty years, and begat Reu:
19 And Peleg lived after he begat Reu two hundred and nine years, and begat sons and daughters.
20 And Reu lived two and thirty years, and begat Serug:
21 And Reu lived after he begat Serug two hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters.
22 And Serug lived thirty years, and begat Nahor:
23 And Serug lived after he begat Nahor two hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.
24 And Nahor lived nine and twenty years, and begat Terah:
25 And Nahor lived after he begat Terah an hundred and nineteen years, and begat sons and daughters.
26 And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.
27 Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot.
28 And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees.
29 And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram's wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah.
30 But Sarai was barren; she had no child.
31 And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son's son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.
32 And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.

Perhaps Shem was born in the Sothis year 500 being 100 in the Sothis year 600, 3636 BC, the year of the flood.
Counting from the Septuagint from Arphaxad in the second year after the flood 3634 BC and leaving out Cainan which is not in the Hebrew:
12 And Arphaxad lived a hundred and thirty-five years, 3499 BC
14 And Sala lived an hundred and thirty years, and begot Heber. 3369 BC
16 And Heber lived an hundred and thirty-four years, and begot Phaleg. 3235 BC
18 And Phaleg lived an hundred and thirty years, and begot Regau. 3105 BC
20 And Ragau lived an hundred thirty and two years, and begot Seruch. 2973 BC
22 And Seruch lived a hundred and thirty years, and begot Nachor. 2843 BC = 2837 BC
24 And Nahor lived a hundred and nineteen years, and begot Terah. 2724 BC, 2718 BC
26 And Tharrha lived seventy years, and begot Abram, and Nachor and Arran. 2648 BC
32 And all the days of Tharrha in the land of Charrhan were two hundred and five years, and Tharrha died in Charrhan. 2572 BC

You can see if Nahor lived 119 years in his generation as in the Hebrew rather than 179 in the Septuagint we have his birth at 2837 BC about the same as 2843 BC, a difference of 6 years can be found in rounding errors in the 130 year generations.
Terah lived to Sothis year 205 from 2777 BC, 2572 BC, 105 years old.
Peleg means to split or divide, when the earth was divided. Perhaps this was the division when the Lord confounded their language when they went about to build the tower of Babel, between 3235 BC to 3105 BC, in this 11th chapter of Genesis. Many Ziggurats were built from 3500 BC in Eridu on.
Deuteronomy 32:8 "When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.
9 For the LORD's portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance."
1 Chronicles 1:19 "the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name was Joktan."
Joktan was named "he will be made little", perhaps because the people of God were few in number. And Peleg lived two hundred and nine years. And Reu lived two hundred and seven years. And Serug lived two hundred years. Since Abraham, Isaac and others lived to 175, 180 plus, perhaps these are their ages. Terah begat Abram when he was 70 and lived to be 145.
Then we may attempt a genealogy. Abraham was 75, 2572 BC, when he left Hara. He was 100, 2548 BC, when he had Isaac. Isaac was 40 when he married Rebecca. Isaac is the connecting link. According to these Sothis dates Isaac was 69 when he had Jacob, perhaps 2478 BC. However, Genesis 25:26 states Isaac was 60 when he had Jacob. Perhaps Abraham left Haran 9 years after his father Terah's death. However, the time of his father's death would be the time to leave Haran. Then Isaac had Jacob when he was 69 rather than 60, the 9 omitted in subsequent copies. Then Jacob would be 15 or more likely 6 when Abraham died at 175.
Hebrews 11:9a "By faith he (Abraham) sojourned in the land of the promise, as in a strange country, in tents having dwelt with Isaac and Jacob,"
Jacob must have been 91 when he had Joseph, 2387 BC. Joseph must have had his dreams when he was 17 just before his brothers sold him into Egypt. Perhaps there was a sun miracle then in 2370 BC; 2370 BC could be a prelude to the 50 year Jubile, day of Atonement - Leviticus 23 and Isaiah 61 and Luke 4:18, that would begin Jesus ministry Septeber 15 31 AD. 50 year cycles from 2370 BC end in 31 AD, thus predicting Jesus ministry. Even though the Jubilee was kept 40 years after the Exodus then 70 years again after the Captivity. Thereafter from 470 BC the Jubile 50 year cycle would end 31 AD. Isaac must have died shortly after Joseph was sold into Egypt in 2367 BC, perhaps when Joseph was 20, thus Jacob said:
Genesis 43:14b "And as for me, if I be bereaved I am bereaved."
In 2367 BC perhaps when Isaac died Kuh became emperor of China - Chinese emperors often took the throne when there was a sun miracle. Joseph was 30 in 2357 BC when he stood before pharaoh, and Jacob 130 when he stood before pharaoh in 2348 BC. Jacob lived to be 147, Abraham 175 and Isaac 180.
Genesis 5:28 "And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:"
Then Lamech logically must have lived to be 182, about the same age as Abraham and Isaac.

Days must equal dates on the calendar. However, these dates must be 180 days, or more, more recent than their date would suggest. If the sun moved 180° counterclockwise there would be a long day (long night on the other side of earth). Then if the sun moved 180° clockwise there would be a short day of a few hours (short night on the other side of earth). Therefore the sun moving with earth's rotation is countered by the sun moving against earth's rotation. Try applet However, earth must speed up in its reverse orbit 48 hours a year to keep the same number of days in a year. The accumulation over several years cannot be countered by the sun revolving that many more times around the earth. The tract Sanhedrin 96a says that God only allowed two hours of daylight on king Ahaz's death so as not to give any time to bury or mourn him. And that the hours lost then were regained when the sun retreated (to the beginning) for Hezekiah. The Babylonians kept track of the seven days of the week by counting hours by sevens. They should have been able to tell when the hours lined up with the day perhaps then fourteen years later. The second sun miracle may cancel the first in accumulated time. However, the 48 hours less each year cannot be canceled. Earth rotates 366 times a year. (We loose a day in the 365 day year because rotations go with earth's orbit) Then in a reverse orbit we would have 367 days and nights in the same orbital path and speed because rotations would go against orbit. If earth's rotation slowed to 365 days and nights in a reverse orbit the ocean at the equator would drop 800 feet. If earth sped up in the same orbit path of the sun 48 hours there would be 365 days and nights in a reverse orbit no problem. Earth's orbit is elliptical meaning earth travels a few days faster in winter than in summer. So a speeding up in earth's orbit a few more days would not affect earth either. See www.analemma.com This would keep the 365 solar days in a year and the 1460 years in the Egyptian Sothis period (a continuous calendar). Then all days, including week days of 7 or the Chinese 10, may be accounted for. Yao's long day may have been countered by the sun going down suddenly, or perhaps rather the sun standing still on the horizon producing a long green flash, the horn of the unicorn - perhaps the unicorn in Yao's seventh year. That is, when the sun moved 180° back - east or west - earth would flow out of the reverse orbit and reorient and continue as if nothing had happened. All days in a counterclockwise orbit, earth's normal orbit, going back several thousand years may line up exactly with dates on our calendar. Planetary orbits may also line up. Orbit simulations going back several thousand years may be accurate to the date, that is, to the day. Most reverse orbits seem to be for only half a year. Thus, there should be no net missing time going back in time. The missing time of a sped up reverse orbit would be countered by the long day at either end of the orbit. Thus, earth must speed up 48 hours a year, 24 hours in half a year. The sun must move 180° at the beginning of the reverse orbit and 180° at the end of it. When the sun moved 180° east to stand still or set in the east there would be +12 hours of elapsed time. +12 hours - 24 hours + 12 hours leaves no net missing time. Even if the sun stood still for Joseph/Yao 9 X 12 hours the reverse orbit must have been for two and a half years if the sun traveled 180° east perhaps standing still for 12 hours when it returned and earth flowed out of the reverse orbit. Thus long days must be countered by an equal amount of missing time from reverse orbits. Even a second reverse orbit may be needed to counter the 40 minutes or so left over from a half orbit reverse orbit. Only half orbits from the solstices may not leave any left over missing time. Such as sun miracles on Pentecost would only leave about 8 minutes of left over missing time.

If the sun set suddenly at noon in Egypt the sun must move 180° west. Then if the sun revolved over the Pacific for 3X12 hours, 540° east, to make three days of darkness in Egypt, the sun would be back to where it was before and there would not be a reverse orbit. This second last miracle happened just before the month of the passover. That new moon is February 23, 1279 BC. The moon must move with the sun to stay in its new moon phase for the 36 hours of the three days of darkness. There would be no moon light in the three days of darkness because the moon was with the sun.

The 300 years in
Judges 11:26 "While Israel dwelt in Heshbon and her towns, and in Aroer and her towns, and in all the cities that be along by the coasts of Arnon, three hundred years?"
may refer to the third century, 1117 BC, of the second Sothis period beginning that year.
1 Kings 6:1 "And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD."
The Septuagint reads "440 etel", years or half years. The Hebrew word for year is Shanah, Strongs 8138, also means two or double. Thus 480 doubled years is 240 years. Taking the Hebrew as more reliable; then 1279 - (480/2) 240 = 1039 BC to Solomon's 4th year. Modern Scholarship has cut off 60 years from 1020 BC to 960 BC for Solomon for no apparent reason. If we can agree Jephthah lived about 1100 BC before the third jubile in 1090 BC, the Exodus can be brought to April 4, 1279 BC and the conquest of Palestine to February 25/26, 1238 BC:
Debra and Barak in Judges 4 and 5 appear to be with Israelites already in the land on the day of Joshua's conquest. Then Debra, Barak and Joshua also appear with Jabin and Sisera on this day. "In 1992, the joint Israeli/Spanish mission were digging at the ruins of Hazor, the largest city of Palestine in the Middle Bronze Age. They found a tablet on which was recorded the name of the powerful king of the city (p.317, fig.338). That name was Jabin, the same as the king of Hazor who Joshua defeated as recorded in Joshua 11:1,10!" Hazor burned towards the end of the 13th century BC: 1300 - 1200 BC. Rameses II who reigned with his father Seti I may be the Rameses of the Bible. Two references to the land of Rameses are given in the Bible:
Genesis 47:11 "And Joseph placed his father and his brethren, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses , as Pharaoh had commanded."
Exodus 12:37 "And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children."
However, this reference to the treasure city, known as Per Ramesses to the Egyptians at least since 600 BC, is directly linked to the Pharaoh Rameses II:
Exodus 1:11 "Therefore they did set over them task masters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses ."
Rameses II built Pi-Rameses "The Domain of Rameses" probably during his co-reign with his father Seti I. Rather Merneptah must be the pharaoh of the Exodus that drowned in the Red Sea, perhaps 1279 BC. Joshua entered Palestine forty years later, perhaps 1239 BC. In this chronology we may go back 80 years from 1279 BC to 1359 BC and to Moses' birth and Pharaoh Seti I possibly the king of Egypt that did not know Joseph. We may go back forty years to 1320 BC and the beginning of the new Sothis period and Moses' attempt to help the children of Israel in the time of the general/pharaoh Horemheb. Moses may have thought the time was right to lead the Israelites into a new era.
Genesis 15:16 "But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full."
This may have originally read "in the fortieth" generation. Moses would be this 40th generation if 25 years were counted per generation. The Sojourn into Egypt began 2348 BC and Moses was born 1359 BC. 40 X 25 = 1000 years. Then Moses may have correctly reckoned him and his generation would leave Egypt for the promised land. Also Moses' father in law, Jethro, would only be distantly related through Abraham's son Midian of Keturah, being more than 40 generations from Abraham.

References to the Hapiru in the Middle and Late Bronze Age literature are numberous...Hapiru who are carrying stones for the temple Ramses Miamum. Perhaps the Hapiru were Hebrews.

Here is a brief history of sun miracles:
In China: 2697 BC in Huangdi's first year phoenixes appeared, 2678 BC in Huangdi's 20th year there was a prolonged green flash described as the sun stood still at sunrise, "In Hwang-te's (Huangdi) 50th year (2648 BC), in autumn, in the 7th month, on the day Kang-shin (September 22), phoenixes, male and female arrived." "When Che ascended the throne there was the auspicious omen of phoenixes." (2597 BC), 2512 BC a yellow dragon served as the omen for Chuen-heuh to become emperor, Yao's long day 2357 BC, possibly 2350 BC "In Yao's 7th year there was a unicorn", 2287 BC phoenixes appeared, about 2240 BC in Shun's 14th year a yellow dragon appeared. 2158 BC He and Ho punished when Chung-k'ang became emperor - sun and moon did not meet harmoniously in Scorpius, 1891 BC 10 suns appeared, 1807 BC "stars fell like rain..", 1788 BC three suns appeared, 1765 BC two suns fought, a sun miracle, likely Joshua's long day, 1238 BC predicted the rise of the Chow dynasty of king Wan, 1188 BC in king Wan's first year phoenixes appeared, 1133 BC 2 suns appeared, 1096 BC phoenixes appeared, about 950 BC (day dawned twice), 702 BC Hezekiah's sign, 687 BC "stars fell like rain", 515-450 BC Lu Yang sun rose in west, 312 BC shadow lengthened 10 cubits, 230 BC sun returned to the meridian, 165 BC a yellow dragon appeared in Ch-eng-Chi, 163 BC sun returned to the meridian, 103 BC Jupiter is depicted in a reverse orbit, 100 BC phoenixes appeared.
And in Egypt: 2357 BC Pharaoh promoted Joseph to be governor - the years of plenty began - probably marked by the sun standing still in China, 2350 BC marked the beginning of drought as recorded in Kilimanjaro ice cores - Yao's unicorn could be the second correcting sun miracle and earth flowed out of the reverse orbit, about 1460 BC - Senmut's celestial ceiling depicting the feast days of the zodiac in reverse and the bull of heaven being slain, about 1395 BC sinister sign of the sun, 1355 BC Seti I's celestial ceiling, 1279 BC three days darkness, and the Dendera Zodiac with the severed leg of the bull in the center about 100 BC.
1807 BC looks like the start of a reverse orbit and 1788 BC three suns - the end of a reverse orbit. The dates of the lunar cycles in 1807 BC match the moon phases 19 year later in 1788 BC. Then the second miracle needed at the same time of year would also be in the same lunar phase. Likewise the flood ended exactly one year after it began. If the sun moved 180° on that day April 12 3637 BC earth must turn 18° clockwise and earth flow into a reverse orbit, then one year later April 12 3636 BC the sun move 180° back and earth turn 18° counterclockwise and earth flow out of the reverse orbit keeping in the same season. The vernal equinox in 3637 BC was April 21. Earth must shift 2° each day the sun miracle was before the equinox. Therefore, 21 - 12 = 9, 9 X 2 = 18°. Then this April 12 3637 BC is the March 12 2003 season on our calendar. The zodiac must shift six months and progress in reverse. Perhaps on this seventh day April 12 3637 BC the sun moved 180° westward setting suddenly or the sun stood still that night on the far side of the earth and there was 12 hours more darkness, a 24 hour night. "In Tractate Sanhedrin of the Talmud it is said: 'Seven days before the deluge, the Holy One changed the primeval order and the sun rose in the west and set in the east. [ Worlds in Collision, p.126 ]"
Genesis 6: 4 "For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth."
If the sun moved 180° 7 days before the flood, April 5 3637 BC, earth must turn 32°, 2300 years, in forward precession and earth's axis point to the 1300 BC pole position. The sun must move from Taurus to Scorpius, Aquarius setting just after sunset that night. The bible began the day with evening -
Genesis 1:5b "the evening and the morning were the first day."
Then the sun appearing to move in reverse against the zodiac till it passed Aquarius January 15 moving up the pouring water instead of down, to get to Scorpius, perhaps signifying the drying of the earth as depicted in legend.
Genesis 8:11 "And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth."
The dove returned about January 15 3636 BC when olive leaves appear. By April 12 3636 BC Aquarius would then be visible overhead again at sunset. Then perhaps the sun moved 180° back to Taurus April 12 3636 BC and that Sunday perhaps the sun stood still for 12 hours as everyone left the ark. The rainbow lasting a long time because the sun was standing still.
Genesis 9:13 "I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth."
Habakkuk 3:9 "Thy bow was made quite naked, according to the oaths of the tribes, even thy word. Selah. Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers."

Reverse zodiacs/orbits were depicted inside coffin lids in Egypt. "Additional copies of the same horoscope (as on Senmut's celestial ceiling 1560 BC) were found in the two temples of Rameses II at Abydos and at Madinat Habu (1213 BC, the reverse orbit of Joshua perhaps 1238 BC - 1233 BC); in the tombs of Rameses VI (1154-1148 BC), VII (1136-1129 BC, See Woo's two suns 1133 BC.), IX (1126-1108 BC. See king Ching) at Thebes, in the sarcophagus of Prince Nectanebo (380-342 BC), and in the coffin of Hor-nef-tef of the Saite period (663-420 B.C. See Daniel 4:2, 6:27, Haggai 2:6, Zechariah 14:7, Malachi 4:2) and in the two tombs at Alfih of the Ptolemaic period (305-30 B.C.) where they acted as talismans promising longevity in the Elysian Fields."

According to the famed Egyptologist J.H. Breasted the earliest Sothis period began 4236 BC. The Egyptians probably had an even earlier Sothis cycle from about 5700 BC. Sirius rises at 4AM exactly July 16 4236 BC and July 16 2777 BC. If Noah's Flood began in the 600th year instead of after 600 years - Noah's Flood may be determined to have happened April 12, 3637 BC, in the Julian calendar. Nevertheless the 430th year of the second Sothis cycle must begin March 31, 2348 BC. The Egyptian Sothis calendar was simply a 365 day year with no leap year. And when the calendar had backed up to the first appearing of Sirius before dawn a new Sothis cycle was started. Earth's rotation was exactly 365.25 days a year according to Sirius. Sirius first appeared before dawn July 16 every year for 3000 years. Sirius first appeared before dawn July 16 4236 BC to July 16 2777 BC, the 365 day Sothis calendar had backed up to July 16 after 1460 Egyptian years, 1459 of our years. Thus the calendar backed up one day every 4 years to begin the new calendar on a new day July 16 2777 BC. The 430th year from July 16 2777 BC began March 31, 2348 BC. This cycle started over on the first appearing of Sirius before dawn at exactly 4AM July 17 1320 BC.

"In his (Yao's) 70th year, in the spring, in the first month.." "A brilliant star issued from the constellation Yih, and phoenixes appeared..." "The five old men flew away like flowing stars and ascended into the constellation Maou (Taurus)." Yih is Crater (Corvus) rises at 7:30PM and sets at 8AM and the sun rises at 7:47AM and sets at 5:15PM January 31. The sun must move 180° from Aquarius to very near Crater. Therefore, Crater is the best identification with the sun moving 180° on January 31 2287 BC. Therefore the sun is this "brilliant star".
2 Peter 1:19 "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:"
Many people still do not know the sun is a star. The day star is the sun. There are 20 candidates for supernovas in Yih. However, this bright star may not be any of them.
Isaiah 60:1 "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising."
The sun must be several times brighter when travelling 180° west to leave the same daily coral line in the ocean. Thus the sun was this very "brilliant star". The sun unexpectedly rising was written in Hebrew much the same as it was written in Chinese.
Luke 1:78 "Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,
79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace."
The coming of Jesus Christ was compared to the sudden rising of the sun. Yao probably began his reign April 1 2357 BC. Then this January 31 (in cycles of 60 days backwards from day 60 January 2 1500 BC) 2287 BC is just before the end of Yao's 70th year. 2287 also begins a new cycle of 60 years, from 2637 BC, perhaps making this sun miracle more an omen for a new emperor. In Yao's 70th year, 2287 BC, Saturn would be in Scorpius and Jupiter in Sagittarius. 180° away is Maou. Following "On the 2nd month, on the sin chow day, between dark and light, when the ceremonies were all prepared, and when the day began to decline a glorious light came forth from the Ho, and beautiful vapors filled all the horizon, white clouds rose up and returning winds blew all about." "Two years afterwards, in the 2nd month, ON THE 2ND XIN DAY, he led out all his ministers and dropped a peih (round flat piece of jade with a hole in the middle. Jade dragons and phoenixes.) in the Lo (River) and waited for the decline of the day. In late afternoon a red light appeared; a big tortoise rose from the waters with a writing of red lines on its back and rested on the altar. The writing said that he should resign the the throne to Shun. Thereupon, he resigned the throne to Shun." Chinese Classics III, Emperor Yaou, p.113 notes The Black Tortoise represented the quarter of the sky of which Aquarius was the center. The sun must move 180° back to Aquarius January 31 2285 BC. This 2nd xin day looks like the anniversary of the sin chow day. Sin Chow must be a day in the second month. Likewise, the "2nd xin day" must refer to a day in the second month. The fact the emperor Yao resigned the throne on this day may signify that there was a sun miracle, perhaps a long sunset, on this day. This Xin Hai, 48 of cycle, day was January 31 2285 BC and must be this 2nd Xin day. See Notes on the Chinese Calendar. Counting cycles of 60 days backwards from January 2 1500 BC (day 60) we get January 26 as the 38th of cycle. Then two years later the same date is the 48th of cycle ((365.25 +365.25)/60=remainder 10.5 days. 38 plus 10 = 48 the second xin day) The first month of spring was in January/February after the winter solstice January 9 2287 BC also the date of the new moon that year. February 6 marked spring. The first month of spring probably began January 9 thus this January 31 is in the first month. If this was January 31 2287 BC, earth must turn 150° in forward precession to the 8250 AD pole Alderamin, to keep in the same season. Perhaps the sun moved 180° on the 15th day from the new moon, a full moon, told in the tale of the calendar bean: "A kind of grass, moreover, grew on each side of the palace stairs. On the 1st day of the month, it produced 1 pod, and so on, every day a pod, until the 15th; while on the 16th on pod fell off, and so on, every day a pod, to the last day of the month.." Then by the 16th day of the full moon the moon would be 180° away from the lunar mansion it was in the day before - still progressing forwards through the lunar mansions - only earth now falling backwards 1° a day in the reverse orbit. The grass growing on either side of the palace stairs may signifiy the moon moving 180° to the other side of heaven. The full moon on January 31 2287 BC must move 180°, with the sun, from the red Corvus to the blue Pisces. The sun must move 180° from Pisces/Aquarius to Corvus. The Chinese counted their lunar mansions from the day the moon was in that part of the sky starting number 1 with Corvus to 16 with Pisces. Thus their lunar dates matched the dates for and after this January 31 2287 BC. (Perhaps its origin with a like sun miracle.) The moon still must move with earth's rotation the same way from west to east in earth's reverse orbit as it does in earth's normal orbit. Just as this lunar "zodiac" progresses. However, we normally depict the sun and moon moving clockwise. Nevertheless, the characters depicting the lunar mansions move with earth's rotation. Then you can see in this lunar zodiac what the Chinese were trying to depict with their calendar bean. The moon moving 180°. This may be the same day as the record of phoenixes in Yao's 70th year. Then the first sun miracle or at least ceremony day could be January 31 2287 BC and the second January 31 2285 BC. Thus the sun miracles may be on the same date, perhaps the first event recorded from spring then the second anniversary recorded from the new year before the winter solstice in the second lunar month - same date. If the sun moved 180° on the winter solstice 2287 BC earth must turn 180° and earth's axis point to Vega to keep in the same January 8 Julian winter solstice season. Then also the celestial north would become south and likewise east west. On both observances, January 31 2287 BC and January 31 2285 BC, they waited between dark and light, all day for the decline of the day. Perhaps there was 12 hours more night as the sun moved 180° east or perhaps there was some 12 hours less daylight as the sun moved 180° west - the phoenixes - on this first month of spring 2287 BC and likewise the sun must move back on the anniversary of the day and earth reorient and flow out of the reverse orbit as if nothing had happened. There would not need to be a second correcting reverse orbit for missing minutes because it is evident the sun moved back on the same date. Thus all missing time cancels out. The sun must move 180° back exactly half an orbit 187 to 178 days later or the sun must move back on exactly the same date for earth to reorient and flow out of the reverse orbit and continue as if nothing had happened. If the sun moved 180° earth should experience a change in weather: "In the kitchen there appeared of itself a piece of flesh, as thin as a fan, which when shaken, raised such a wind that all eatables were kept cool and did not spoil." A change in weather currents would be expected. The sun standing still in the sky would make some places warmer than others creating differences in air pressure which push the air around in winds. "When the flooded waters were assauged (of the Ho river), the emperor attributing the merit of that to Shun, wished to resign in his favour." A five years later: "In his (Yao's) 75th year (2283 BC) Yu, the superintendent of Works, regulated the Ho." More over the appearing of a brilliant star and phoenixes signified a sun miracle, a sign for the emperor to resign. Emperor Kuh appointed Yao to be his successor when the sun stood still and would not move in 2357 BC and now Yao may see in this portent of the sun 70 years later an omen for him to resign the throne to Shun.
"In his first year, he came to the throne, he dwelt in K'e; and made the music Ta-shaou" "Note: On his assession, the felitous bean grew about the stairs, and phoenixes nested in the courts. When they beat and tapped the musical stones, to accompany the nine performances of the Shaou, all the beasts came after one another gambolling. A brilliant star came out in Fang.." - A little more information given of the sun miracle. Mars was very bright red in Taurus January 31 2287 BC and perhaps moved 180° to Scorpius/Fang.
Joseph is a type of Christ. He became governor when he was 30 in 2357 BC. Jesus started his ministry when he began to be about thirty.
Genesis 41:46 "And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt."
Then he would have been 100 in Yao's 70th year in 2287 BC.
Genesis 50:26a "So Joseph died, being an hundred and ten years old".
Then sun miracles mark the sunrise of Joseph's life and the sunset of Joseph's life.
