Noah's Flood

Genesis 7:6 "And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth."
Perhaps refers to the 600th year of the Sothis period starting July 16 4236 BC Julian, then the 600th year began 3637 BC. The Egyptians simply had 365 days in their year. Then their calendar backed up one day every four years. Then in 1460 years the calendar had backed up to July 16 and the first appearing of Sirius before dawn. Thus the Sothis calendar was exactly 365.25 days in a year tied to Sirius. Our tropical Gregorian calendar has 365.2422 days, almost the same. This meant the Sothis 365.25 day calendar fell back one day every 128 years from the tropical calendar that is tied to the equinoxes. Thus the vernal equinox was on April 23 3637 BC in the Julian calendar but fell back to March 22 by the time of Christ. Since then we use the Gregorian calendar where the vernanl equinox is kept at March 22 by not adding an extra day February 29 every year divisible by 4 at certain times such as at the turn of the century, except milleniums - the year 2000. Sirius first appeared before dawn July 16 4236 BC marking the beginning of the Sothis cycle and 1459 years later when their calendar had backed up full circle Sirius first appeared before dawn again at July 16 2777 BC. Noah built by revelation from God. Yet the tools and means would have existed at this relatively recent date. Also the seven day week was passed on to us from that time without interruption because they entered the ark on the seventh day, April 12 3637 BC, a Saturday - see Julian Date Converter. The Children of Israel also crossed the River Jordan on Sunday April 12 1239 BC into the Promised Land. The same Sothis date. The 17th day of the second lunar month counted from the moon's first appearing at sunset:
Genesis 1:5b "And the evening and the morning were the first day."
That lunar month beginning at sunset on March 26 3637 BC. The day was counted from sunset as was the lunar month. Then the 17th day was counted from sunset on April 11. The new year had backed up 600/4 days, 150 days, to Sunday February 17, also the beginning of the eighth month, IV Peret. J.H. Breasted, 1900, gave the date 4236 BC (July 16) as the beginning of the first Sothis peroid. Sirius rose exactly at 4AM July 16 4236 BC and at exactly 4AM July 16 2777 BC because Sirius was not adversly affected by the precession of the stars of 1.4° clockwise every 100 years. At the same time the Julian/Sothis calendar equinox backed up one day every 128 years. These worked together to make Sirius always first appear July 16. The July 16 date also marked the beginning of the Nile flood and Sirius appearing before dawn was a sign to flee to higher ground.
Genesis 7:24 "And the waters prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty days.
8:1 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged;
2 The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;
3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.
Gen 8:4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat."
The 150th day may be July 16. That is, the new year had backed up 150 days to February 16 from July 16 in the 600th year. 600/4 is 150 days.
The lunar month that was July 16 and the appearing of Sirius was the 12th month. (A 13th month was added if the appearing os Sirius, July 16, happened in the last 11 days of the lunar month. Because the lunar month began July 4 3638 BC, August 1 began the first month.) Then the lunar month beginning February 25 3637 BC was both the eighth month since July 16 and the first month since February 17.
Genesis 7:10 "And it came to pass on the seventh day that the waters were on the face of the earth."
Genesis 7:11 "In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened."
Genesis 7:13 "In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark."
Genesis 7:17a "And the flood was forty days upon the earth:"
Genesis 7:24 "And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days."
40 days from April 12 is Wednesday May 21 the new moon. Jesus ascended up into Heaven on the 40th day Wednesday May 13 33 AD. The fiftieth day as in the future pentecost would be on a Saturday, Saturday May 31 3637 BC. The Holy Ghost was given on the day of Pentecost Saturday May 23 33 AD. The Sothis calendar had backed up 150 days from July 16 to the new year February 17 and the lunar calendar to the new moon February 27. The new year February 17 was also the beginning of the eighth 30 day month from July 22. The year began with the first appearing of Sirius before dawn July 16 then the five left over days then the twelve 30 day months. The next new moon March 27 3637 BC then would end the first month. The 17th day of the second lunar month April 12 was a Saturday, the seventh day. Also the seventh day of the Sothis 10 day week. 150 days from April 12 is September 9. The first visibility of the new moon, the seventh lunar month beginning August 19 and the 17th day September 5. September 5 3637 BC must have been when the ark rested. (This is 45 days before the autumn equinox, the Chinese autumn.)
Genesis 8:3 "And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.
4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat."
The calendar after the 5 days from July 16 started months of 30 days. Then April 17 would begin a month and 5 months later be 150 days later (155 days including the 5 left over days of new year) and be September 19. Still 150 days after April 12 is September 9. The 150 days a particular epoch because of the year 600 the calendar had backed up 150 days and because the 150 days and the 150 days make 300 days leaving 65 days to a complete year. Also, Noah lived 350 years after the flood and his son Shem lived 150 years more to 500 years after the flood. Thus Shem must have lived to be 600, the same as the Sothis year 600 of the flood.
5 "And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen."
The tenth month began November 17 3637 BC.
Genesis 8:6 "And it came to pass at the end of forty days,"
40 days from Monday November 17 is Saturday December 27.
Genesis 8:10 "And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark;"
7 days from December 27 is Saturday January 3 3636 BC. 7 more days is Saturday January 10. On the Jewish calendar Shebat 15 was the beginning of the year of trees, late January - early February. Thus the olive leaf. The new moon would be January 16 - one month till the Sothis new year February 17.
Genesis 8:11 And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.
Then about January 16 "the waters were abated from off the earth." Lunar cycles matching the Sothis new year February 16 3636 BC mean the first lunar month began the first day of the week, Sunday February 15, beginning the 601 year February 17:
Genesis 8:13a "And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month the waters were dried",
Genesis 8:14 "In the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried."
The second lunar month began March 16 and earth was dried 27 days later, Sunday - the first day of the week, April 12 3636 BC exactly one year after the flood. If the sun moved April 12 3637 BC the sun should travel east. Thus the day be at least 12 hours longer or 36 hours longer. Thus the door was open longer for people to come into the ark. This because there are 48 hours of missing time in a reverse orbit made up by 12 hours of a long day and 36 hours of a long day. See Joshua's long day. Also there would not need to be a second correcting reverse orbit because the sun would move back on the aniversary of the first sun miracle. April 12 was also the 27th day of the fixed to Sirius Sothis 30 day months. The moon was not visible at all that day because it was passing by the sun. The vernal equinox 3636 BC was April 21. Then April 12 3637 BC is the March 12 2003 season today. Today in the Gregorian calendar, Sirius first appears before dawn at 4AM August 26 2003.
Up until the building of the Aswan Dam, March was the season of the low Nile, hardly a time for rain. Also, records up until that time showed the time the Nile began to flood corresponded to the July 16 date.

The flood April 12 3637 BC was on the 65th day of the year from February 6.
Genesis 5:21 "And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:
22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:
24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him."
The flood rose 150 days then abated 150 days = 300 days, like the year 300 when Noah was born, then the 65 days till Noah stepped out of the ark onto dry land. Noah walked with God as did Enoch. Also, the Sothis year began 300 days after the flood. Perhaps the years of Enoch point to the Sothis 365 day calendar. Perhaps these dates of the flood point to Enoch:
Jude 1:14 "And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him."
Noah's father Lamech may have died just before the flood in year 600:
Genesis 5:30 "And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters."

Joshua 24:2 "And Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods."
The other side of the flood may be the east side of the river Euphrates.
Genesis 11:2 "And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there."
Habakkuk 3:8 "Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation?"
9 "Thy bow was made quite naked, according to the oaths of the tribes, even thy word. Selah. Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers."
10 "The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high."
11 "The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear."

Genesis 9:13 "I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth."
Habakkuk is possibly describing the giving of the ten commandments (Judges 5:4,5), 2357 years after Noah's flood, the mount flowing from the thunder showers that day, the rainbow promising a new covenant leading up to Joshua's long day in the 11th verse. The rainbow Noah saw was also the promise of a new covenant. For the rainbow to be visible for more than a few minutes the sun must move to stand still in position above the horizon. Perhaps the sun moved 180° back April 12 3636 BC one year after the flood to make a lasting rainbow and long sunset, perhaps symbolic of a lasting covenant, the everlasting new covenant of the New Testament. The sun must be at the 5PM position near the horizon to cause a rainbow. Thus the few minutes a rainbow lasts.

Of course there were rainbows before 3636 BC on earth. But we do not know where this region was that Noah escaped from in the Ark. Perhaps it had not rained there for a long time.

"The king inspected the bone and said: "A disaster will happen." Eight days later, on the day gengxu (47), clouds came from the east, and the sky became overcast. As the sun was setting, a dragon in the shape of a rainbow appeared in the north, and drank from the Yellow River." - you can see the dragon/rainbow in the center and the dragon drinking. Above the rainbow the character looks like a foot getting out of a pit and it means to come out/appear. Thus the dragon came out and appeared in the shape of a rainbow. The Chinese Language, Its History and Current Usage, P.80. - This bone belongs to King Wuding of Shang who reigned 58 years from about 1327 BC to 1269 BC. Thus the Chinese may have seen a prolonged rainbow because of a sun miracle just as Noah may have seen one.

February 23 1279 BC during Exodus is interesting in that it is the eighth day of the eighth Egyptian month. Sunday is the eighth day of the week also. Also the eighth month, IV Peret, begins Sunday February 16 on the same day of the year the Sothis year began in 3637 BC the beginning of lunar months in the year of the Flood of Noah. Noah's flood was in year 600 meaning the year had backed up one day for every four years from July 16 to this February 16. The new moon February 23 3637 began this Sothis year and this lunar year. Also this February 23 1279 BC is 144 days back from the appearing of Sirius July 17. Joshua's long day February 26 1238 BC is the 12th day of the 8th Egyptian month.

The first wine was made in northern Iran 5400 BC and made in Jordan found in Egyptian king Scorpion's tomb 3125 BC. Thus wine may have been discovered about the time of the first Sothis cycle 5695 BC. Adam lived 800 years after, perhaps after the beginning of the Sothis cycle. Thus Adam may have been born in year 800 Sothis. Eden may have used the duodecimal numbering system. Then year 800 would be 8 X 12 X 12 = 1152. 5700 BC less 1152 years is 4548 BC, 144 + 4400 years before the birth of Christ.
Genesis 9:20 "And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:"
- 3635 BC. I do not drink, never have and do not recommend it.

        when Abraham whent to offer up Isaac in 2512 BC.
        1200 years before Abraham went to offer up Isaac.
        There are 187 days from Nisan to the day of Atonement.
        There are 187 days from a sun miracle in winter/spring to when
        the sun may at the soonest move back.
3824 BC when Lamech was born.
3757 BC 120 years before the flood. 
3737 BC Sothis year 500. Noah was in year 500, perhaps when God spoke to him
        to build the ark. Just after this Noah begat Shem.
3642 BC in Sothis year 595. 182 years till Lamech died. 
        If Lamech had lived to 187 years he would have
        died in the year of the flood 3637 BC.
        777 years after Seth was born to Adam. 3642 BC - 969 - 969 = 1704 BC
        1700 years before Jesus was born in 4 BC. 
        The 969 years is used from duodecimal year 700, 7 X 144 from 5700 BC = 4692 BC.
        7 is the number of completeness, total submission to God.   
3637 BC was Noah's flood in Sothis year 600, 2700 + 969 years later Jesus was crucified in 33 AD.
        The Septuagint gives generations of 130 years which almost adds up to Terah's generation
        when he had Abraham in 2648 BC. 
        There are 6 more years which could be due to rounding errors. 
        Then also the generations from Adam to Enoch must be generations rather than life spans
        because they average around 130 years too:
