13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
14 And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel."
NASA states on their web site http://imagine.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/ask_astro/answers/970325g.html in order for the sun to stand still, according to the laws of physics, either the earth stopped rotating or "the sun started to move about in the solar system in a very specific way" so as to appear to stand still from our spinning earth. And that there is no evidence of either occurring. I theorize the sun moved on Joshua's long day. - This is not the missing day story - You will read here of plenty of evidence of this occurring.
If the earth stopped or reversed its rotation, the problems are immense. If the sun moved not 360° but 180° the seasons would change. Earth would flow into a reverse orbit of the sun and must shift on its axis to keep in the same season, unless on the vernal or autumn equinox. If the sun moved 180° east February 26 1238 BC to stand still at noon in the sky for Joshua for 12 hours earth would flow into a reverse orbit and need to shift, turn 70° clockwise on the vertical, to keep in the same season.
This shift would be less than stopping the earth's rotation and starting it again. Orbital Variations and Insolation Database (search and read up on it under "orbital variations" or "insolation database") show the seasons and the sun's intensity did not change. This model leaves no evidence just as NASA claims. Earth's forward momentum would carry earth into a reverse orbit of the sun. Earth must match its elliptical orbit in reverse perfectly. Earth almost certainly could not be left to itself.
The reverse orbit must have been very skillfully managed to keep the sun's same seasonal intensity, as it would have had, throughout the year at the same time speeding up the yearly orbit 48 hours to keep the 365 days in a year because rotations are against orbit. The "severed leg of the bull" in ancient Egyptian and Sumerian history confirms this axis shift. If the sun moved earth must flow into a reverse orbit. This answers both concerns: Earth is rotating at 1,000 mph at the equator and rushing at 70,000 mph around the sun. That there was no day like it that God hearkened to the voice of a man, not that there were no other sun miracles. Earth appears to have gone into a reverse orbit on Joshua's long day. The Hebrew states the sun stood still from the half of heaven for Joshua. Perhaps Israel saw stars from the other half of heaven that night. The Chinese from the time of Joshua state there was a long sunset:
"King Wan dreamt he was clothed with the sun and the moon. A phoenix duck sang on mount K'e. In the first month of spring, on the 6th day, the five planets had a conjunction in Fang (Scorpius). Afterwards a male and female phoenix went about Wan's capital with a writing in their beaks, which said: 'The emperor of Yin has no principle, but oppresses and disorders the empire. The great decree is removed: Yin cannot enjoy it longer. The powerful spirits of earth have left it; all the spirits are whistled away. The conjunctions of the five planets in Fang brightens all within the four seas'"
The male and female phoenix is the sun and moon inside the Feng bird. The phoenix duck on mount K'e is the sun standing still on the western horizon on mount K'e.
Male and female phoenixes are the Feng bird carring away the sun - male and the moon - female. You can see the red sun and moon inside the character for the Feng bird. The spirits whistled away is the strong winds that resulted from the sun standing still on one half of the earth and perhaps the earth shifting 70° clockwise to keep in the same season.
"King Wan was like the sun or the moon. He lightened with his shining the four quarters, -- the western regions." How could the five planets have a conjunction in Scorpius in February when the sun would be in Aquarius/Pisces? - Scorpius would only appear in the east just before daybreak! Scorpius must appear in the west at sunset to fit the picture. - A long sunset and the moon stayed directly overhead. Thus the moon on the eastern horizon above Ajalon. The only way that all this is possible is if the sun moved 180° from Pisces to Virgo and the planets and moon moved 180° from Taurus to Scorpius and earth's forward momentum carried it into a reverse orbit.
Then the moon and planets would appear in Scorpius at the end of this long sunset. Earth must shift 70° clockwise to keep in the same February 26 season. This shift is on the vertical the same as several thousand years worth of precession. That is they would see a 4000 AD pole star for six months till earth shifted back. Then the sun must move 180° exactly half a year later or multiples thereof for earth to flow out of the reverse orbit and shift the 70° counterclockwise, to reorient, and continue as if nothing had happened.
After Joshua's long day Joshua conquered Jabin and Hazor in Joshua 11. Jabin appears to be still at Hazor in Judges 4 & 5. Judges 5:31 could be the sun moving back 183 days after Joshua's long day. The sun must move back 183 days or a year or years later. The soonest is 185 days later Wednesday September 1 1238 BC and must be the day 56/57 (the night) recorded by the Chinese as a lunar eclipse.

"Crack-making on guichou (day 50), divined: "(The king) will have no disasters in next ten days." After seven days, at the time from jiwei (day 56) to gengshen (day 57), the moon was eclipsed."
The graph means to continue to. That is, perhaps the sun and moon moved 180° west presently, in an hour at midnight, and thus day 56 continued to day 57. The common chronology of the Chinese as passed down is very accurate. Some revisionists place this eclipse of the moon August 14 1166 BC. However, the common chronology is 72 years earlier, 1238 BC and this is a record of a sun and moon miracle not an eclipse. However, in the latest research this lunar eclipse must be August 12 1269 BC and rather Joshua 11 points to the sun moving back half a year later. Half an orbit later, 186 days later. In Wanting's "12th year, phoenixes collected on mount K'e." Which was the first year of king Wan the year of his birth. King Wan died in 1135 BC and lived to be one hundred in legend.
Thus king Wan's motive in writing down this record from the time of his birth was that he was chosen by divine power signified by the sun miracle on the year of his birth to be emperor of China. His son Wu became emperor in 1122 BC. The Chinese changed emperors often when there was a sun miracle and were pretty faithful in doing it. The sun must have moved February 26 1238 BC and August 31/September 1 1238 BC. Perhaps the writer of Judges perceived the terrific speed the sun must have travelled that day September 1 1238 BC:
Judges 5:20 "They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera."
Judges 5:31 "So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might."
Perhaps Debra and Barak could sing about the stars fighting against Sisera in Judges 5:20 and the sun in Judges 5:31 because the sun and moon moved 180° west for a sudden sunrise, surprise attack and complete victory. That night they would see the stars from the other half of heaven and realize the sun and moon had moved 180° past the stars.

Saturn probably was in Fang when the stars first appeared, the planets standing still appearing to move into the stars till they and the sun had moved the 180°. The sun stood still "in the midst" of heaven is literally translated as "from the half" of heaven 
- Strongs 719b. This letter "Bet", first from the right, originally meant "from" just as from the first chapter of the Bible, Genesis 1:4
Just as the letter "Bet" meant from, from the sojourn into Egypt sothis year 430 - April 3 2348 BC to the exodus April 4 1279 BC, from Exodus 12:40, on the same day of the year, the same day of the lunar month, 14th, and the same day of the week, Thursday. Pharaoh must have drowned in the Red/Reed Sea in the Exodus. A lunar date for Ramses II - year 52 II prt 28 means December 20 1228 BC and Pharaoh Seti I died in 1279 BC or rather December 20 1304 BC and Pharaoh Merneptah died in 1279 BC. The new moon on the sixth 30 day month from July 22. Not to be confused with the Sothis cycle.
The calendar backed up 365 days about every 1460 years, because the Egyptians did not use leap year, which was from 139 AD to 1320 BC to 2777 BC to 4236 BC. Thus the 430th year from 2777 BC is 2348 BC. Sirius first appeared before dawn July 16 4236 BC, July 16 2777 BC and July 17 1320 BC to mark the new Sothis cycle. Interestingly the Chinese record the sun stood still on China, Yao employed an archer to shoot at the sun whereupon it moved and Yao became emperor on March 31 2357 BC the day Joseph became governor over Egypt. Thus the common chronology of the Chinese is very accurate.
Exodus 12:40 "Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.
12:41 And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt."
Genesis 15:12 "And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.
15:13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;"
The 400 years rather must be the last 400 years to 1279 BC.
Genesis 15:16 "But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full."
May have originally read "in the fortieth generation." 40 X 25 = 1000 years. Moses' generation. Moses was 80 in 1279 BC. Then after 40 years in the wilderness and some months is 1238 BC and the conquest of Joshua February 26 1238 BC.
Joshua 10:13 "from the half of heaven" is a double meaning. The sun moved 180° to the other half of heaven standing still at the noon position while the sun rose to 80°, almost vertical, to appear in the "midst of heaven". The sun must travel on the plane of the ecliptic, so in the 8th hour of the sun standing still at noon the sun would be in the June summer solstice inclination.
We know the month because: "The State Archives of Assyria Volume VIII report 310 says, "If in Adar (February 20 - March 20) the sun stands still in the middle of noontime: the land will experience siege (and) misery." And the first month of the Chinese spring is January 20 to February 20 1238 BC as per king Wan's dream. And we know the day, the sixth day of the moon, February 26 1238 BC. And we know the exit day from the reverse orbit exactly half a year later, August 31/September 1 1238 BC. Thus we get the same dates going forward and backward.
The sun must move 180° half a year after Joshua's long day and earth reorient and flow out of the reverse orbit:
This is not a missing 24 hours but a missing 12 hours.

How many sun miracles were there?
Answer: There were about 50 sun miracles since 4000 BC. Hesiod recorded the generation of the phoenix was 33 years which comes to 900 phoenixes in 30,000 years.
Is there any evidence of these sun miracles? Geological evidence?
Answer: There is no physical trace. The only method I know would be to carbon date tree rings because during years of reverse orbits earth must speed up its orbit 48 hours a year to keep 365 days in a year because rotation is against orbit. This would add up to earth being a year younger from 2000 BC, two years younger from 4000 BC. However, carbon dating is not that accurate.
Is there any other evidence of the affects of these sun miracles?
Answer: Yes, specifically the Chinese insisted spring was in the east. The sun in the winter constellation is north. Thus the sun can only be in the spring constellation in the east in a reverse orbit. There is no other way these sun miracles could be accomplished and these records fit this model perfectly.
Is there a pattern to these sun miracles?
Answer: The only pattern or reason for sun miracles appears to be like the Yellow Dragon that descended about the time Isaac was 33 and offered up by Abraham as a type of Christ. Thus the only reason for sun miracles appears to be to point men to Christ. (The other reason may be to shake the wicked out of the earth) The latest research shows many sun miracles occurred in patterns such as 144 + 2500 years before the birth of Christ. Such as the birth of Abraham in 2648 BC. Or 2400 years before the crucifixion of Christ, such as the death of Isaac in 2367 BC.
Would an energy wave from our galaxy be enough to move the sun like this?
Answer: Probably it would take a significant portion of the energy generated in this region of our Milky Way galaxy to move the sun the 20 million miles per hour as per our model. It would take the force of a supernova to move the sun that fast. 10 E 45 Newtons.
Are there any other records of sun miracles other than the Bible, the Chinese and this Assyrian record? Such as from Babylon?
Answer: Yes, the Epic of Gilgamesh depicts the sun miracle of Joseph and the seven years of plenty. "If you desire from the Bull of Heaven, There there will be seven years Of barren husks in the land of Uruk. Enkidu leapt out of it and seized the Bull by the horns The Bull of Heaven retreated (earth in a reverse orbit) before him And brushed him with the hairy tip of its tail, (the pole star) ... He tore loose the right thigh of the Bull of Heaven" (the earth shift necessary to keep earth in the same season)
Did the earth move farther away from the sun?
Answer: No, the earth kept in the same elliptical orbit, maintaining the same distance from the sun in its seasons. (Of course seasons are determined mostly by earth's tilt)
This would require a lot of energy? And where would the energy go? Into heat?
Answer: Yes, this required a lot of energy to be put into the solar system and yes this energy must have been taken out of the solar system.
Has there ever been a calculation of how much energy would be required to move the sun like this and what would be the consequences to the sun and planets and solar system?
Answer: No there has not been a simulation made of this model yet to my knowlege. Gravity over distance is weak. Nevertheless the force to move the sun at such speeds of immediately going 20 million miles per hour could generate an immediate gravity shock wave. So this would have to be taken care of too.
Where there dramatic affects to the weather after sun miracles?
Answer: Yes, specifically the sun miracle of Joseph March 31 2357 BC. This marked the beginning of seven years of plenty in Egypt. Thus it is not surprising that this marked several years of drought and fire in China because rain probably had to be borrowed from other parts of earth some of it coming from China. Likewise the seven years of famine in Egypt is marked by seven dust layers on Mount Kilimandjaro from 2350 BC and 2345 BC and also noted in the records of the then Pharaoh Unas. However, there also appears to be frequent weather disturbances in the Chinese records when there was a sun miracle. Not necessarily drought but irregular weather as per the Chu Silk manuscript. Often after a sun miracle the rivers Loh and E dried up.
Nevertheless Herodotus was told by the Egyptian priests when the sun set in the east: "Egypt was in no degree affected by these changes; the productions of the land, and of the river, remained the same; nor was there anything unusual in the diseases or the deaths." Also, earthquakes, or trembling, were commonly recorded when there was a sun miracle.
Foot note: The next year in 2006 I discovered the same pattern of sun miracles in the Missing Day Story. Soon after I discovered a 40 year correction to these dates.
